We made a “Kamidana” (a household shinto altar) based on the Ise-jingu shrine. In Japan, a Kamidana is a shelf used to enshrine the Shinto gods at home, in office, and in other places. It’s made from Kiso-hinoki (white woods) which smells wonderful and the shelf was made from Jindaikeyaki ( black woods) and so on. The most difficult part was a roof , it took a lot of labor and time. However, we enjoyed it very much!
