“Kumiko” is one of Japanese traditional technique of crafting art and furniture which was invented about 300 years ago. Without using any metal fittings or glue and combining thin wooden boards together with only its notches and mortises to create geometric pattern. Since “Mitsukude method “(combining 3 pieces of thin wooden boards together accurately and make an equilateral triangle) was established, variety of Kumiko’s style and its pattern were increased drastically.
